Laser Scanning

The C-Gauge laser rig is made up of a subsea camera and a laser; it can be attached to the front of the ROV at various locations depending on what is to be measured.

An image is taken directly from the C-Gauges subsea camera, this image captures the profile of the component being measured as produced by the laser.  This 2D image information is then converted into 3D metric data called a point cloud.  It is from this point cloud that detailed measurement readings are then calculated.
